Item condition
Every item we sell is inspected, tested and graded before it goes on sale. We use our own grading system so you know exactly what to expect when your order arrives.
Our grades reflect the overall condition of an item, taking into account cosmetic wear, functionality, and completeness. All items are fully functional unless listed as Grade F (Spares).

A+Excellent
The best condition you can realistically expect from a pre-owned item. Minimal signs of use, clean, and well cared for.
Games
Clean label or disc with no significant scratches or fading. Boxed and CIB items will have a box in great shape with only minor shelf wear, and all inserts and manuals clean and intact.
Consoles & Hardware
Extremely clean with little to no cosmetic wear. No yellowing, deep scratches, or missing parts.
Controllers & Accessories
Buttons, sticks and triggers feel tight and responsive. No drift, sticky buttons, or worn grips. Cables in excellent condition.
Please note that A+ does not mean mint or as-new. These are pre-owned items, many up to 30 years old. Minor imperfections consistent with age, such as very light wear or slight discolouration, are to be expected even at this grade.
A Very Good
A great item in great condition with only minor cosmetic wear from normal use. The sweet spot for most buyers: quality at a fair price that still looks and feels great.
Games
Light surface scratches on discs that don't affect gameplay. Cartridge labels may have minor wear but are fully legible. Boxed items may show light edge wear or creasing.
Consoles & hardware
Light cosmetic marks or minor scuffs. May show light yellowing on older hardware. Everything functions as it should.
Controllers & accessories
Fully functional with minor cosmetic wear. Sticks and buttons show light use but perform correctly. No drift or input issues.
BFair
A perfectly functional item with clear signs of use. Great for players who care more about the game than the aesthetics.
Games
Discs may have moderate scratching but play without issue. Cartridge labels may be worn or peeling. Boxed items will show noticeable wear but are intact. Manuals may have damage.
Consoles & hardware
Noticeable scratches, scuffs, yellowing or discolouration. May have minor repairs or replacement parts (always noted in the listing). All core functionality tested and working.
Controllers & accessories
Fully functional but showing obvious use. Grips may be worn, sticks may feel slightly loose. Cables intact and functional.
CPoor
A working item in rough cosmetic condition. Ideal if you want a budget option and don't mind the battle scars. Still fully tested and functional.
Games
Discs have heavy scratching but still play. Labels may be heavily damaged, written on, or missing. Boxed items will have significant damage and may be missing inserts or manuals.
Consoles & hardware
Heavy cosmetic damage including scratches, cracks, yellowing and sticker residue. May be missing non-essential cosmetic parts like port covers or battery lids. Core functions tested and working.
Controllers & accessories
Functional but rough. Noticeable wear throughout. May have minor functional quirks noted in the listing.
FSpares
Sold as-is for parts, repair or projects. Items may be partially or fully non-functional. Not covered by our standard returns policy.
Games
Discs that skip or fail to load. Cartridges that don't boot or have save issues. Boxes or manuals in rough condition.
Consoles & hardware
Non-functional, intermittent, or untested. May be missing essential components or have a broken shell. Sold for parts only.
Controllers & accessories
Non-functional or significantly impaired. This includes drift, dead buttons, broken cables, or broken shells.

For items priced at £30 or above, we're happy to provide additional photos on request; whether you'd like a closer look at a label, a specific angle on a console, or a better view of any wear. Just drop us a message and we'll get them over to you.
